The Floor Load Capacity gives you the static load capability of the area in question - usually given in lbs. per square inch. 

Special consideration should be given when:

• determining floor loading or capacity on multi-story buildings
• calculating transportation surface capacity over tunnels or on bridges
• working with ship decks.
