Batteries for fork lift trucks should not be discharged to more than 80% of the rated battery capacity. A lower discharge than that is known as Low Discharge. It should be avoided at all cost since it reduces the life of the battery considerable and causes possible damage to the trucks electrical contacts as well as motor brushes. |
