Forklift Trucks which have to travel over public roads must have a license plate issued by the local motor vehicle bureau. Travel without  license plate over public roads is punishable by local ordinances.

To travel over public roads, Forklift Trucks must be equipped with Brake- and Tail lights. Travel by darkness also requires head lights.

The driver must have a valid drivers license to drive a forklift truck on public roads.
